Your guide

Originally from Amiens, great-grandson of a hortillon's daughter, I am passionate about the history of this place and driven by the desire to help you discover and share this unique natural space in France. During a soothing stroll along the water, in a silent and comfortable boat, you can observe the grey herons, kingfishers, coots, great crested grebes, muskrats, and other inhabitants who populate the heart of these marshes. You can appreciate the often clear waters of the rieux (small stream in Picard) and observe the freshwater fish so numerous in the hortillonnages. You can admire the maintained gardens of the multiple plots, rich in flower beds, sometimes hostas, hydrangeas, euphorbias, budhlehia, guelder rose... throughout the seasons.
